Department Of Conservation (DOC) Pass

The NZMCA DOC pass is an exclusive arrangement with The Department of Conservation.

The Pass allows members and their occupants to camp in their motor caravans at participating DOC 'Standard camps' without paying the per person overnight fee. There are substantial savings for members when you consider DOC 'Standard camps' charge $5 - $16 per adult and $2.50 - $12 per child, per night.

DOC has over 200 vehicle accessible camping grounds for you to enjoy. Further information on these campsites can be found in the Members' Travel Directory, on DOC’s website, or by downloading the latest DOC campsite booklets:

North Island Conservation Campsites (10MB)

South Island Conservation Campsites (9MB)

All pass holders will receive a free copy of these conservation campsite booklets upon receiving a pass.

Members are welcome to purchase a yearly Pass, which costs $175 (inc GST) and is valid from 01 July 2011 - 30 June 2012. Members may also purchase a 'half year' Pass from late January for $75 (inc GST), and is valid from 01 February 2012 - 30 June 2012.

NOTEThe ‘half year’ DOC pass (valid 1 Feb to 30 June 2012) has been available for purchase online since 23rd January 2012. If you do not have online access after this time please complete an application form from the Motor Caravanner and amend it to make it clear that you are applying for the ‘half year’ pass.

Auckland Council's regional parks camping pass

If you are planning on camping in the Auckland region you might be interested in purchasing a certified self contained camping pass.

Currently, the pass costs $92.00 and is valid from 01 September to 31 August 2012. From 01 September 2012, the pass will cost $123.00, and valid 01 September to 31 August the following year.
