The 'Motor Home Friendly ' scheme is an NZMCA initiative introduced in 2010 to promote high-quality motor caravanning throughout New Zealand.
The scheme is modelled off Australia's 'R.V Friendly Towns' scheme, which was initiated by the Campervan & Motorhome Club of Australia. Friendly Towns provide a basic set of amenities and services that guarantee motor caravanners a warm welcome and an enjoyable visit.
Motor Caravanners will only visit areas where they feel welcome and will go out of their way to visit a town that markets themselves as Motor Home Friendly.
The Association is currently reviewing the scheme. If you are interested in registering your town please contact the National Office on 09 298 5466.
