The annual Havelock Mussel & Seafood Festival is a vital part of Marlborough’s summer and its back for the 19th year, at the Havelock Domain.
Located in Havelock, the gateway to the picturesque Marlborough Sounds, it's the perfect way to enjoy fresh seafood, alongside great kiwi music and entertainment for everyone.
As well as the native NZ Green Shell Mussel the festival also celebrates New Zealand King Salmon and the Pacific Oyster which are also grown in the pristine waters of the Marlborough Sounds.
The Havelock Mussel & Seafood Festival is a community not-for-profit event and has been contributing back to the local community since 2004.
Kiwi Legends Jordan Luck Band and Celebrity Chef Simon Gault will be at the 2023 festival, and will be joined by roots reggae band The Lost Tribe Aotearoa, country star Jody Direen and groovers Genre Fluid.
You can keep the kids busy at the NIWA Kids Zone, the MFA Industry Tent, and we can't forget the Guinness World Record Mussel Opening Competition.
The Havelock Mussel & Seafood Festival is a family-friendly event, with something for everyone from cuisine to culture and much more in between.
