North Canterbury Wine & Food Festival

Set under the beautiful oaks of Glenmark Domain, the North Canterbury Wine & Food Festival is a great day out for all ages.

The event returns on Sunday 5th March after a COVID hiatus.

Enjoy a delicious range of local wines from winemakers and growers of the region, dig into produce from some of the town’s favourite foodies, tap your toes to live music, and immerse yourself in everything that makes North Canterbury the coolest little wine region in the country.

Tickets:

Adult Tickets: $34.90 

Our Early Bird tickets go on sale from 21st October at the awesome price of $34.90. Make sure you get in quick as these will only be 250 available or until the 24th December 2023. Once they’re gone, they’re gone!

Standard Adult Tickets: $39.90

General Admission Adult tickets include a festival wine tasting glass, entry to all events on the day in the 'Talk Tent' and entertainment throughout the day.

Sober DriverTickets: $24.90

Sober Drivers will be wristbanded on arrival to the festival and are not permitted to drink any alcohol at the site. The sober driver wristband will still give you access to all the fun – with great food and non-alcoholic drinks available to purchase across the day, as well as entry to all events in the 'Talk Tent' and entertainment!

Under 18: Free

No tickets required. Under 18's are still required to enter through the official entry gate at the festival. We will have plenty for the little ones to do at the festival, including face-painting and a petting zoo.

The North Canterbury NZMCA Area will use the adjoining paddock for parking motorhomes/caravans.

Key details:

• The entrance is off Glenmark Drive - the flags will be out.
• The cost to park is FREE thanks to the Canterbury Area Volunteers.
• Arrive from 4 pm Friday 3rd March.
• Depart no later than 10 am Monday 7th March.
• You must hold a festival ticket.
• No dogs are allowed as this is a working farm.
• Please leave the camping area as you found it - pack in & pack out.

Winemaker's visit: 

• There will also be a winemaker visiting the parking site on Saturday 4th at 4pm for tastings, and to tell us their Waipara Wine story. This year it is the “Winemakers Wife” winery.
• The cost to attend is $2 per person, payable to Jim Grierson North Canterbury NZMCA on the day. Please bring your own chairs and glasses.
