How to book

$45 per person for both parking and entertainment for the weekend

How do I book for this great weekend? Simply pay by direct credit doing the following (there are no door sales)

The Payee is the NZMCA Waikato

The account Number is Westpac 03-1568-0002409-01

In the Reference fields please state

  • Your Name (field 1)
  • Your NZMCA Member Number (Field 2)
  • And TTR (Timber Town Romp) (Field 3)

That is all you have to do, we do not send out receipts

When you arrive at the Tokoroa Event Centre (after parking) proceed to the registration area and the team there will identify you by your name and number as having paid and you will be given the weekends program.

Broad plan for the weekend

Friday the 22nd of October

  • Parking from 8 am
  • Registration from 9 am till 8 pm
  • 4 pm Happy Hour, social time catch up with old friends in the hall, quick fire raffles bring your gold coins
  • 7.30 pm till 11 pm: The JPB Band

Saturday the 23rd of October

  • 8 am: Dog exercise and walking tracks (dogs always on leads please)
  • Registration opens at 9 am
  • 9 am: Raffle sales
  • 10 am: All entries for the Highland Games to assemble
  • 10.15 am: Hamilton Pipe Band start playing
  • 10.30 am: The Games Commence
  • 11.30 am to 1 pm: Food Stalls
  • 2 pm to 4 pm: Walk up with the Forestland Varity Music Club, featuring guitairst Willi Barrett
  • 4 pm: Happy Hour social time to catch up with old friends in the Hall and Quick-Fire Raffles
  • 7 pm: The Timber Town Romp Special Draw
  • 7.30 pm: The James Ray Band, with guest entertainer Kylie Austin!
  • 11 pm: Close

Sunday the 24th of October

  • 8 am: Dog Exercise and walking tracks (dogs on leads please)
  • 9 am - 12 noon: Raffles Sales - all sponsor and table raffles drawn on Monday morning
  • 10.30 am till 11.30 am: Good News Vanners hour open to everyone
  • 12 Noon: Dog Training agility (dog exercise area)
  • 2 pm till 4 pm: Hot Diggity all girl band
  • 4 pm: Happy hour social time catch up with friends and quick-fire raffles
  • 7.30 pm: The Paul Madsen Super Show
  • 10.30 pm: Close

Monday the 25th of October

  • 8 am: Dog exercise and walking tracks (dogs on leads please)
  • 9 am: Raffle Sales
  • 10 am: Results and prize giving for the Highland Games
  • 10.30 am: Notices
  • 11 am: Sponsors raffles and general table raffle drawn
  • Close by the Waikato Chairman

Plenty of space for current NZMCA members with certified self contained motorcaravans. Parking will be on-site and managed by the Waikato NZMCA area, and is included in the cost of the weekend.
