Three great days, two massive shows, one beaut line-up!
Welcome to Wairarapa Music in the Country, 2024.
Your 2024 artist line-up features:
The most incredible, Tami Neilson! We are beyond thrilled to announce that Tami will be headlining our 2024 festival, travelling to join us all the way from Canada. What a way to kick off the line-up!
Brilliantly talented sisters, Marian Burns and Karen Davy, will both perform as solo acts before taking the stage together for a truly special duet!
The stunning Melissa Partridge blew us away in 2023 so we’re bringing her back for what will be another showstopping performance.
Melissa will also share the stage with country-music-circuit-favourites, Bevan Gardiner and James Davy – that’s an act to tip your hat to.
NZ’s favourite entertainers, the Shenanigans are back to see out our Saturday night show – getting the crowd on the dancefloor like only they can!
Our dear friend Ainslie Allen returns this year off the back of a successful nationwide tour. We can’t wait to have her take the stage here at Tauherenikau once more.
Yeap! We’ve got the Patea Maori Club! The 20-strong performance group will be a highlight of our Friday night show and an absolute treat for both our first and long-time audience members.
Ashley and Michael Tipping return as the beautiful duo they are in Cooper’s Run, and we won’t be the least bit surprised if your jaw drops open when you hear them perform.
Jenny Mitchell is brand new to the festival – a NZ singer/song writer with a growing catalogue of stunning music. You’ll be captivated by her performance.
Renee Strawbridge took the stage as a walk-up performer at last year’s event and we were BLOWN AWAY. So naturally, she’s on the bill this year!
Maddy Bean was one of our young up-and-comers in 2023 and her exquisite voice and performance simply stunned the festival. We are very pleased to welcome her to our Friday and Saturday night line-ups!
Wayne R. Heath remains the Grandaddy of country music and our cherished Music in the Country event MC. We’re very pleased to have him back on board for another year.
As always, we’ll have the extremely talented Pure Dixie supporting the weekend as the house backing band.
It’s going to be a spectacular weekend and you’re invited – so get your tickets now! Passes start from just $20 and kids aged 16 and under are free!
We’ll have food and beverage options available for purchase throughout the event but you can beat the queues by pre-ordering a gourmet picnic platter box now. These are available in small (suitable for one person) or large (suitable for four people) sizes and will be available for collection on the afternoon of Saturday 6 January. Purchase these when you purchase your tickets!
