As one of the longest-running and best-established cultural festivals on the planet, WOMAD NZ 2022 sees the 17th anniversary of the festival, held at the stunning TSB Bowl of Brooklands and Brooklands Park, New Plymouth, Taranaki.

Over the years, WOMAD NZ has introduced audiences to eclectic artists from all over the globe, including Arrested Development, Alpha Blondy & the Solar System, Gurrumul, Gotan Project, Hanggai, Lemon Bucket Orchestra, Mahotella Queens, DakhaBrakha, Ezra Collective, Sinead O’Connor, De La Soul, and hundreds more.

WOMAD 2022 is one of the hottest tickets on the festival calendar, with eight stages featuring genre-spanning and mind-expanding acts, internationally renowned poets and authors, a crowd-popular poetry slam, cooking demos with muso's, a global village brimming with food, wellness, and retail, and of course, the incredible festival vibe in one of New Zealand's most spectacular festival venues.
