The NZMCA started an insurance scheme in 1958 so NZMCA members could be assured their motorhomes and caravans were adequately protected. These days this scheme is called Covi NZMCA Insurance and we are proud of our history serving NZMCA members.
New Zealand's most comprehensive motorhome and caravan cover includes:
Agreed Value- Covi NZMCA Insurance is the only specialist motorhome and caravan insurance provider to offer you genuine Agreed Value for 5 years.
Fixtures- Automatic cover for permanent fixtures and fittings including furnishings, awnings, TVs, generators up to 3.75W, radios, CBs, radar detectors, GPS units and fire extinguishers.
Contents- $10,000 of motorhome or caravan specific contents insurance is automatically included. If your motorhome or caravan is your permanent place of residence, Covi can offer additional contents insurance tailored to your needs.
Towing- Towing costs are covered up to $500 following a mechanical breakdown, less a $100 excess.
Glass- Nil excess on window glass claims for vehicles insured for less than $350,000.
Open drivers- Any driver with the appropriate license(s) and clean driving history is covered.Drivers under 25 need to be approved by Covi (as a higher excess may apply).
Claims- Claims assistance is available 24/7 to ensure you are back on the road ASAP.
