RESTRICTION ON CERTIFICATION OF VEHICLE(S)
As of the 10th Feb 2018, the NZMCA Board implemented a temporary stay on the ability for NZMCA self-containment officers to certify people movers and similar small car conversions under the provisions of the Self-Containment Standard (NZS 5465:2001). The Board’s decision is effective immediately and will remain in place for up to two years unless reviewed beforehand. To check if your current vehicle is affected click here
RESTRICTION ON OVERSEAS APPLICANTS
As of the 10th Feb 2018, the NZMCA Board extended a temporary stay on accepting new membership applications from overseas applicants who are not also members of recognised overseas clubs. The Board’s decision is effective immediately and will remain in place for up to two years unless reviewed beforehand. To check current recognised clubs click here
MEMBERSHIP IS NON-TRANSFERABLE
When you join the NZMCA, you (and your partner) are the ones becoming members. You are not able to sell or gift your membership to others.
DID YOU KNOW
You can join the Association before you purchase a vehicle. Since membership is with you, not the vehicle, you can rent or borrow a vehicle in the interim, so long as it is Certified Self-Contained and you display the NZMCA wing decal and financial window card.
