The Commerce Commission is considering an application from Camplify seeking clearance to acquire the New Zealand assets and business of Tourism Holding Limited’s (THL) Mighway and SHAREaCAMPER.
Camplify and THL’s Mighway and SHAREaCAMPER are peer-to-peer platforms that enable motorhome, campervan and other recreational vehicle owners (together, RV owners), including private individuals, to rent out their vehicles. Outdoorsy is a further example.
The Commission is interested in getting the perspectives of RV owners on the proposed merger, and gathering information from RV owners on their use of peer-to-peer RV rental platforms.
To do so, the Commission has developed a survey for RV owners - the survey can be accessed here.
The survey is grouped into three sections:
The survey closes on 28 February 2022.
NZMCA encourages you to complete the survey.
