Change to Clubs New Zealand sports participation

Clubs New Zealand organises more than 50 national and regional sports tournaments a year that are hosted by its member clubs with plenty of other tournaments organised by the clubs themselves.

In a decision made at the September 16 2017 Clubs New Zealand Board meeting, the Board unanimously agreed to adding to their Sports Handbook, a bylaw stating that Associate Members wishing to participate in Clubs New Zealand national tournaments must become ordinary members of Clubs New Zealand to be eligible to play in national tournaments.

The New Zealand Motor Caravan Association is currently an Associate Member.

The decision which relates to all National Sports tournament comes into effect 1 January 2018.

Clubs New Zealand will continue to welcome Associate members into its clubs as reciprocal right guests and hopes that everyone continues to enjoy member clubs’ hospitality.
