Important reminders from our friends at Interislander:

1. Members who have caravans whose drawbar is 1m or less (like in the photo) between the rear bumper and the front of the caravan are not able to travel on the Aratere as they are required to turn in the ship to exit and they are unable to make the turn in the one movement because of the short drawbar. Caravans like these should be booked on either the Kaitaki or Kaiarahi, both of these vessels being drive on one end and exit the other. It could also be a timely reminder to book early for trips to ensure you get the available boats and times.

2.Your LPG tank is turned off and is firmly secured. (The LPG cylinder being turned off is for health & safety reasons and Interislander staff will be checking that all cylinders have been turned off prior to letting the vehicle board the ship).
