The highlight of the local summer event calendar, the Katikati Avo Fest, is happening Saturday 10th January 2026 at the Uretara Domain, Katikati from noon til 6pm.

Expect great food, the best wines and beverages, lively entertainment, excellent company, and culinary demonstrations from a top celebrity chef in the tree-lined Uretara Domain in Katikati, the Avocado Capital of New Zealand.

The festival is family-friendly with activities for the kids, along with avocado-inspired cooking demonstrations in the kitchen gazebo and a diverse range of avocado-themed food and beverage vendors on site.

Overnight parking will be available at the local Katikati Primary school again for the Katikati Avocado Festival 2026!

Your furry friends are allowed on the grounds, but please clean up after them and make sure they are under control at all times.

Where is the parking? And when can I arrive/leave?

Katikati Primary School, 28 Beach Road, Katikati.

Please arrive after 4pm on Friday the 9th of January and you are welcome to stay until Sunday the 11th January until 11am.

The gates will be manned up until approximately 8.30pm Friday evening and then again from 8.30am-11am Saturday morning.

Please carry the correct amount of cash, we may not have change available.

As the toilets will not be open, all vehicles must be self-contained. Dogs are allowed on the grounds but any doggie doos’ must be picked up.

How much does it cost?

The cost per campervan, per night is $20. All proceeds will go to Katikati Primary School.

Do I need to book?

No need to book, but please have correct cash available to pay for the parking.

Event tickets ($55/$65/$75) can be bought online at www.katikatiAvoFest.co.nz from 1st September 2025.

Taxi Transport to the Festival

Transport to and from Primary School and Uretara Domain (venue).

$10 return trip or $5 one-way.
