Katikati Primary School Beach Road, Katikati, New Zealand
Katikati Avo Fest returns to Uretara Domain on Saturday 10 January 2026, promising big tunes, fresh flavours and pure summer fun from 12pm to 6pm.
The much-loved festival celebrates New Zealand’s Avocado Capital with live music, great food and beverages, cooking demonstrations and sun-soaked good times. Since 2004 it has drawn crowds from across the Bay of Plenty and beyond for its relaxed atmosphere and dance-ready bands.
This year’s DMS Main Stage is headlined by crowd favourite Tami Neilson, the Canadian-born, Aotearoa-based powerhouse whose roof-raising blend of country, soul and rock ’n’ roll has taken her from busking with her family to the Grand Ole Opry, a #1 album and international tours with Willie Nelson. Fresh from releasing her acclaimed 2025 album Neon Cowgirl, Tami is set to close out the day in style.
Sharing the bill are Wellington favourites The Relatives, high-voltage supergroup Sonar Flare, and vocal trio The Lady Killers, keeping the dance floor buzzing all afternoon.
In the Seeka Kitchen Marquee, beloved Kiwi cookbook author and presenter Chelsea Winter will lead hourly avocado-inspired demos before a 5pm book signing. Her new release Nourish will be available on the day from Katikati Paper Plus, with fans welcome to bring any of her books along to be signed.
Katikati Avo Fest is the result of thousands of volunteer hours, tireless community spirit and a passion for giving back to the community.
Premium and Early Bird tickets have sold out. General tickets and transport are available now via iTicket or KatikatiAvoFest.co.nz.
