The entrance is 500m north of Houhora Fire Station.  It is the first driveway on the left once you have passed Waterfront Road We are 800m up driveway, Lot 3, Turn left into the house driveway, the gate to the parking area is opposite the large grey shed. Larger vehicles may choose to go around the loop for easier access.Additional Info: Handy to Houhora Fishing Club and Boat Ramp, 1km to Houhora Four Square, Cafe/Bar and Fuel. 50 mins to Cape Reinga with many East Coast Bays and Walking tracks to explore. Dogs must be on a lead at all times

From i-SITE Kaitaia: Head northeast on SH1 (signs for Cape Reinga), travel approx. 39kms. Located just past Houhora Heads Rd on the left. Additional Information: Park by the cattle yards on left side of road. Water available for tank fill ups. Plenty of turn around room. Restrictions: Dogs must be on leads at all times. Remove all rubbish. No need to phone and book as not a campsite, just rock up and enjoy. Plenty of room.

From SH10: Turn onto Inland Rd then right onto Simon Urlich Rd. Turn left onto Tokerau Beach Rd. Take 4th left onto Te Ranginui Pl. Site # on the fence.Restrictions: NO dogs allowed, NO pets.

From i-SITE Kaitaia: Head north on SH1, travel approx. 8.3kms. Turn right onto SH10, travel approx. 14.6kms. Turn left onto the Karikari Peninsula, Inland Rd, travel 10.5kms. Turn left onto Rangiputa Rd, travel approx. 5kms then turn left onto Gillies Rd; travel to the end. Electric gates, with entry code required. Additional Information: Beach access, boat launching, fish filleting bench, smoker, bait freezer. Additional facilities will be available to campers if not being utilised by Motel guests: dinghy, kayak & BBQ.

Directions: From SH10, turn off SH10 toward Karikari Peninsula onto Inland Rd (12.3 km), then turn right onto Simon Urlich Rd, approx. 1.1 km (sharp right-hand bend) site is on the right.Additional Information: 1-minute walk to our beautiful beach, enjoy the sound of the waves at night. Central to all of our beaches on the Peninsula. A 5-minute drive or a half-hour walk to a petrol station, shop, takeaways, liquor shop and tavern. Cabins are available on-site; please inquire with the owners for more details.

From Mangonui: Head northwest on SH10 approx. 2.5kms toward Coopers Beach, past shopping centre. Club is on left hand side of SH10. Restrictions: Parking at rear of Club. Facilities available only during Club open hours.

From north: Head north on SH10. Take 1st road on right over Taipa Bridge.Additional Information: Proximity to restaurant, tavern, superette & service station.Restrictions: Max. all vehicles - length 7.5m. Dogs must be on leads at all times.

This is great place to stay. Lovely old pub. The area has lots of history. We had a really lovely meal.

From Taipa bridge: Turn onto Oruru Rd, travel approx. 13kms past Peria School. Turn left onto Honeymoon Valley Rd, past the marae then slight right onto Peria Valley Rd; site is 1st gateway on right. Additional Information: Sealed road. Quiet, bush edged. Restrictions: NO dogs. Max. vehicle length 12m. Limited phone reception; leave message.

From south: Travel SH1, head into Kaitaia. Turn right onto Matthews Ave. Restrictions: Facilities only available when Club is open; Daily from 11am to close; Kitchen open Thursday and Friday evenings for dinner. Sunday roast every second Sunday.

From Kaitaia: Head south on SH1, approx. 10kms, site is on the right. Additional Information: Water seasonal, toilet open during day, power restricted to daytime due to solar energy. Restrictions: Dos MUST be on leads. Max. 8 vehicles in winter.

From Kerikeri Rd, town centre: Head northeast on Kerikeri Rd then turn left onto Heritage Bypass. At roundabout, take 1st exit onto Waipapa Rd, travel approx. 3kms. Turn right onto SH10, travel 19.6kms then turn left onto Waiare Rd; destination 8kms on right, just after Jenkins Rd.Information: All weather parking. Close to Puketi Forest trails and boardwalk amongst the Kauri.Restrictions: Access road unsealed & winding but in good condition (used by tour buses). MUST phone landline prior to arrival for booking. Farm has river access and a great river swimming spot
