Directions from SH2/Tauranga: Travel north on SH2, approx. 15.8 km then turn right onto Pahoia Rd, travel approx. 2.6 km. Turn left onto Pahoia Beach Rd; site is approx. 350m on left. Additional Info: Prior notification is required, text preferred. Property is an extensive Wildlife and Rescue animal park, so expect to be sharing your site with ducks, chickens, Guinea fowl, a Pony, and even a very affectionate deer. A short walk leads to a turtle pool and natural wetland and pond areas. The beachfront areas are less than a stone's throw from the Pahoia beach and inlet, and you can soak in some amazing sunsets right from your camper door. Beach sites are limited and not suitable for larger vehicles. Kayaks may be made available on request at the owner's discretion (weather permitting) Very basic amenities are available for non-self-contained campers, but are not included in NZMCA rates. Donations for the development of the wildlife and native tree establishment area are gratefully accepted (Donation boxes are in entry to animal paddock and in shared kitchen).
