From Whakatane township: Head onto SH30, approx. 3.2kms then turn right onto Thornton Rd. Take 1st right onto Golf Links Rd then 1st left onto Aerodrome Rd; destination approx. 1km on left. Or follow signs for Whakatane airport, site located approx. 1km before airport. If nobody home, follow metal road to parking area just past green shed or continue to bottom paddock. Restrictions: Bore water available. Dogs must be on leads at all times. Free: Whakatane town maps, cycling maps, East Cape booklet, electric bike charging (just ask). Prefer arrival and departure during daylight hours please.

From Timaru: Head west on SH8 toward Fairlie. Continue on SH8; follow signs for Twizel/Queenstown. Turn right onto Ostler Rd then turn right onto Ohau Rd; located at corner of Ohau Rd & Mackenzie Dr. Restrictions: Must sign in at reception prior to parking. Restaurant facilities available Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun.
