Taupo Summer Concert

The team at Greenstone Entertainment are super-excited that the Summer Concert Tour is back for 2026. 

Located at the Taupo Amphitheatre, the Taupo Summer Concert returns to rock out the venue on 24th January 2026!  

The team at Greenstone Entertainment are excited to have another mega line up of artists for one of New Zealand’s most sought-after summer festivals, the Summer Concert Tour 2026, which includes a show in Taupo on Saturday, 24 January 2026.

Four amazing acts will take centre stage:
Dynamic stage performer and the Godfather of Punk, IGGY POP, will be bringing a set of his most classic hits like T.V. Eye’, ‘Raw Power’, ‘The Passenger’, ‘Lust for Life’ and fan favourite, ‘Real Wild Child’. Even songs from his 2023 album ‘Every Loser’ will be showcased as well.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame singer and band Joan Jett and the Blackhearts will bring 40 years worth of entertainment, including the classics "Bad Reputation," "I Love Rock 'N' Roll," "I Hate Myself For Loving You," and "Crimson and Clover."

Hoodoo Gurus, formed in the early 80s of Sydney, Australia and renowned for their inventive and witty songwriting, dynamic live shows, and fusion of garage rock, pop and psychedelia. They’re mainstays of the live scene with their string of pop-rock hits, ‘My Girl’, ‘I Want You Back’,’Bittersweet’, ‘Like Wow – Wipeout,’ and their biggest single, ‘What’s My Scene’

Finally, classic Kiwi rock band ZED will light up the crowd, bringing with them their original lineup group of seasoned entertainers and their greatest hips inlcuding ‘Renegade Fighter’, ‘Hard to Find Her’, ‘Glorafilia' and more!

A wide selection of beverages including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be sold at the venue. Alcohol is not permitted to be brought into the venue and no alcohol is to be taken out of the venue. FREE refill water will be available.

Summer’s just around the corner, so it’s time to get your mates and family together, lock in the Taupō Summer Concert into your 2026 calendar! Bring your own picnic and sealed non-alcoholic drinks or check out a variety of local food vendors that will be on site. No Glass bottles or Glass of any description is permitted to be brought into the venue.

Location: TAUPO COLLEGE FIELD, OPEPE STREET (OFF Spa Road). Sites to be pre-booked and paid for. 

Cost: $35 per night

When arriving to the College: Please come down Motutahae Street > into Ricket Street > which continues into Opepe Street > you’ll then make a left turn into the grounds. This eases traffic backup and other complications. Thank you for your cooperation.

We will have limited parking sites available at the College for the weekend 23/01/26 Friday 2.00pm to 26/01/26 Monday 10.00am.

The site will be available for self-contained motorhomes & caravans ONLY. Clear your own Rubbish. No pets, pack in pack out.
