Walk - Run - Roam! Make Waitārere Beach your next stop and get a breathe in the scenic terrain with the 2026 Waitārere Forest Run on 29 March!
Flat easy running and walking as you wind your way through the impressive pines and finish in the famous Event village. Start and finish in the same spot, park up the night before and be the first participants to sign in.
Pick a distance to suit you and challenge yourself in 2026 with their 21km half marathon, 10km. 5km or 2km fun run. Enjoy the surroundings of nature at you own pace, by yourself or with your family & friends. Grab a team of 5 or more and try out the Dark Horse Challenge. Come along, enjoy the trails of Waitārere Beach and try and win yourself some amazing awarts/spot prizes.

Timing
Timing mats will be located across the course and will give you a minimum of splits every 2.5km. Live tracking is available on all courses. All timing results will be available live online by age group category and will be based on the participant’s mat time.
Bag Check
There will be a bag check service available at the finish area.
You must NOT drop any gear at aid stations or anywhere on the course for later retrieval.

- Bib collection will be done on-site on the morning of the event.

Certified Self Contained Motorcaravan Parking
NZMCA members are welcome to park their Certified Self Contained Vehicles onsite from 28 to 29 March.
- Where: On-site
- Arrival: From 12pm 28 March
- Departure: By 4pm on 29 March
- Cost: There is no cost to park overnight
- Booking: Please email waitarereforestrun@barefootsport.co.nz to confirm your parking.
Dogs are welcome but not on the course at the event. Dogs must always be on the lead outwith caravans.
