This South Waikato town lies at the heart of the north island of New Zealand. Its central location is supported by both road and rail links in all directions, making it a convenient stopover for travellers and a perfect spot for business development opportunities.
Putāruru is a rural town of some 4,500 people supporting a strong farming sector.
A number of world class sportsmen and women like Olympic gold medallist Lorraine Moller were born or raised in Putaruru. The town has a strong affinity with water due to the nearby Blue Spring, from where 70% of New Zealand's bottled water is sourced (there are two bottling plants in the town); and wood-turning that can be viewed at the Putaruru Timber Museum by appointment.
