We offer a huge welcome to all NZMCA members. It is a great family environment and the place to be this summer. Come and dance or just listen to the beat of amazing music and enjoy the company of fellow members.

Gates open 7am. Arrive full water, empty dump tanks, No water available at school. Cassette dumps available at School & Rugby ground. Public Dump station and water, Main Rd Tapawera. (Donation Box). Showers Rugby Clubrooms $2, Toilets at School & Rugby clubrooms.

A PLACE TO STAY ON THE WAY

If you are heading to Music in the Mountains, we have organised a place to stay before the main event. 11Km from Tapawera this drop-in site is at Waimea Gun Club, 806 Valley Road, Golden Downs.

Certified Self Contained Motorcaravan Parking

Location: Tapawera Area School 41 Main Road Tapawera

Directions: 

  • From Richmond (Nelson), take SH6 to Kohatu Junction, and turn right to Tapawera.
  • From Murchison direction travel SH6 to Kohatu Junction, then turn left to Tapawera
  • From Motueka, SH60 to Tapawera.

Parking details:

  • Early arrival parking available Thursday 29th January from 7am.
  • Costs: $15.00 per person/per night, under 18 free.
  • $2 showers and toilets available at the Rugby Club Rooms. 
  • MUST arrive with full freshwater tanks and empty dump tanks, no water available at the school. Cassette dump station available at the school. Public dump station and water available, Main Road, Tapawera township. (Donation box)
  • Special parking requests: Limited special parking area (which must be pre-booked prior to arrival). Limited power sites for oxygen users only.
  • Dogs must be on leads at all times. No animals allowed in the entertainment area.
  • All participants must be members, and certified self-contained.
